Societies are an ideal way to meet people, get more out of university, learn new skills and more importantly have a good time! UWESU is home to some of the most active and largest student societies in the country.

Raise and Give is something of a university institution across the country. UWE’s own RAG committee consists of a group of enthusiastic students dedicated to putting on events and having fun while raising a significant amount of money for charity.

Volunteering is one of the most rewarding things you can do while you're at university, and it looks great on your CV. While you're a student it's a great time to do something with your free time! There are a number of ways you can get involved while at UWE.

This section contains information about the role of a student rep, and how you can become one. Student reps are recruited from the start of the academic year in September/October. We would normally expect all rep vacancies to be filled by late October. Student reps do not roll over from one year to the next, so there will always be opportunities to be involved at levels 2 and 3 of undergraduate study for students to be involved who did not sign up in their first year.
