Our Charities
Raising money for charity is the whole reason we run our events and students give up their time.
Each year we choose a range of local, national and international charities to support based on the experiences of any of the committee members and the contact that we have with prospective charities. This gives each year’s committee the best possible incentive to make a fool of themselves in the name of charity
We aim to support a minimum of two charities throughout the year. Money from our events such as bar crawls and of course RAG Week are then split evenly among these. But throughout the year we also raise money for individual events and causes too. Last year we raised £760 for Comic Relief and over £300 for the National Aids trust through collections around World Aids Day in December.
If you are a charity and you want to get involved in RAG in one way or another then please contact us by emailing uwesurag@googlemail.com
These are the charities that we are supporting throughout the 2010 - 2011 academic year. Check back soon for more information on charities being supported 2011-2012
