Societies Executive
As well as being the elected voice for societies, Societies Executive have a number of responsibilities that include society budgets, disciplinary hearings, Activities Awards and generally helping to direct society progression.
This year's Executive Committee is filled to the brim with talent and enthusiasm. But who are they?
Communications Officer: Livvy Gilbert
Role: Liaise with UWESU Media to develop societies on the Web; promote society events and successes through Facebook; produce a fortnightly e-news letter.

Campaigns Officer: Kate Lees
Role: Increase participation in societies; lobby the University when mandated by Activities Council; liaise with the RAG committee; support Activities President in campaigns.

Liberation Officer: Jason Yannacopoulos
Role: Increase promotion of minority groups including Women, Black, LGBT or Disabled groups; promotion of equal opportunities within societies

Publicity Officer: Polina Kerman-Hogg
Role: Raise profile of societies in internal, local and University media; encourage societies to write for the Western Eye, speak on the Hub; liaise with University and SU media

Role: Support Activities Awards; offer support to societies running events; liaise with the Events Chair and Activities President.
