Chess is a great way to sharpen tactical and strategic thinking as well as train focused thought and mental planning – despite its’ simplicity! UWE chess club offers a great way for players of all abilities to meet socially, improve their game and meet fellow enthusiasts.
Having finished at the top of the Bristol & District Chess League we are looking for players for next mating season to fill the spot of players that have left last year. Everyone will get a chance to play for the team. Be a Pawn Star!
Where They Train / Meet
Meeting room on the 5th floor of the F-block next door to the SU Sports & Activities Centre. We also play games around Bristol in the league.

For £5 members will get to play league games as well as attain a notionally recognised ECF grade.
