Description
We are here to put a fun spin on your conventional engineering or design club. We are all about reviving the old classics such as Robot Wars and Battle Bots, the UWE Combat Robotics Society designs, builds and then fights there very own combat robots. The world of Robot Wars still exists and so do the teams and robots but they now fall under the names Roaming Robots and Robots Live. Each hold the original style Robot Wars event to crown a Champion each year and it is these events that our Society aims to compete in. Taking in everyone and anyone, UWE's Combat Robotics Society is a great way of looking into Electronics, Engineering, Computer Aided Design, Mechanics and ultimately, mayhem. If you have ever wanted to compete in Robot Wars but did not have the money or technical knowhow this is the society for you. We guarantee you will be there when the crowds shout.... 3, 2, 1, ACTIVATE!
