Restructuring the student experience

Downsizing in senior academic positions causes unrest at UWE.

New WesternEye out now!

A major restructuring at UWE, in which there is the risk of redundancies and demotions, ahead of the publishing of Lord Browne’s spending review has caused serious unrest among UWE academic staff.

UWE maintain that the changes are what students have asked for and will provide a more equitable service across the university, but the response from UWE University and College Union is unequivocally opposed to the changes, saying they will ruin staff morale and academic standing at UWE.
