Volunteer at the Highest Level

UWE Students’ Union are looking for 2 highly committed and dynamic student trustees for 2011/12 to join the UWESU Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees acts on behalf of UWE Students’ Union with the ultimate responsibility for the strategic direction and financial well-being of the organisation. The role of student trustees is to ensure that all decisions are made with the best interests of students at heart and that UWESU is serving its members to the best of its ability.

No prior experience needed; you just need to be a UWE student in 2011/12, committed to the values and vision of the Students’ Union and willing and able to contribute to Board meetings. We will give you the training and support to succeed in your role and gain unique CV skills.

The Board meets at least 4 times a year in the evening and you may also be expected to attend additional meetings and an annual away day, this is a volunteer position but all reasonable out of pocket expenses will be paid.

If you would like to apply please send a copy of your current CV along with a statement. This should be no more than 1 side of A4 stating why you are interested in the role and why you would be suitable.
