U-Text Update

The U-text has taken a U-turn and had some changes made to it for the better.

New U-Text Number

The biggest change you need to know is the number has changed! The new number is 07797800870

The reason this has changed is because through student feedback we found that it would be a better service if you received some kind of response when you text it. Unfortunately we couldn’t achieve this with the old number so we changed it! Please spread the word.

Improved Feedback

Another advantage to this change is that Wessex Connect, service provider for the Ulink, will now receive the feedback directly as well as the texts being accessible to UWESU and UWE Transport management. Previously this feedback was only accessible to UWESU and UWE. We hope that by keeping Wessex Connect in the loop as well as continually lobbying for a better service they will start to get a real feel for what students think about the service currently being provided.

Update your Phonebook

The original number is now invalid so please change the number in your phone! The U-text service remains the most effective way of communicating your concerns to the Students’ Union, University and now the service provider so please do use this service. Remember the more details you can give the better chance to decision makers have at having a direct impact on the issue (bus number, time, location and other relevant information).
